First Wednesday Market in June

Atchison Farmers’ Market

Fresh, Friendly, Local

Market E-Newsletter for Wednesday, June 3, 2015

Keep your fingers crossed that we will have some dry weather this week – at least enough to let us get in the gardens to till, week, and harvest.

Watch for the Thursday e-newsletter about our first summer festival.

This Wednesday the following vendors plan to be at the market:

Earl Farms (Dan and Trina Earl) Onions, lettuce, spinach, eggs and possibly peas.

Genova Farms Produce (Debbie and Mark Genova and children) Green onions, radishes, kale, lettuce, sugar snap peas.

Ghost Roast (Rita and J.D. Hartman, Zach Wolfe and Melissa Wolfe ) Coffee beans and ground coffee. Light roast Guatemalan, Medium roast Ethiopian, and Dark roast Rwandan. Samples of Guatemalan coffee will be available. We can grind beans for you at the market so your coffee will be fresh.

Long View Farm (Gunther and Betty Fischer) Arugula, bok choi, green onions (scallions), Italian radishes, mixed lettuces, a variety of kale, French and whole wheat breads made with organic flour, pastured chicken brown eggs, cut flowers, and homemade jams – produce grown chemical free.

L & R Farms (Monie Frakes) Tomatoes, grape tomatoes, asparagus, peas, rhubarb, green onions, radishes, spinach, kale, collards, Spring blend lettuce, kohlrabi, broccoli, cauliflower, white turnips, collards, sweet potatoes, and bedding plants.
