AFM Vendor Application Process

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Atchison Farmers’ Market (AFM). The AFM has an east and west canopy; each canopy covers 12 vendor stalls. Covered stalls cost $100 each for the entire Season. Stall spaces are approximately 10’ wide x 20’ long.

Day vendors may rent stalls for $35 per day, for Wednesday Markets only (Saturdays, subject to availability). After 3 days, full season rate is paid.

Food Truck, or trailer, with generator – Uncovered Stall fee is $150 per season; $35 per day, up to maximum $175 (5 payments of $35 each)

All applications are subject to AFM Board approval and application fees are non-refundable. Listed below are the steps you will need to take before submitting your application package:

  • Read the Rules & Regulations to have an understanding of Market policy.
  • If you don’t currently have a Kansas Retailers’ Sales Tax Registration Certificate, you will need to apply for one and forward copy of same, along with your application package, to the AFM Secretary-Treasurer. Please see hyperlink below for the Kansas Business Tax Application.
  • Download the 2022 Kansas Farmers Market Vendors Regulations & Best Practices Handbook (see hyperlink below) to read and understand what the legal requirements are for your specific products.
  • Download, carefully read and complete the 2022 Vendor Application & Agreement form. Also, download the AFM Rules & Regulations. Then, initial and date at bottom of each page of the Rules to indicate that you have read and agree to abide by the same. Next, submit your application package to the address/email address indicated on the Application Form. Upon receipt, it will be reviewed by the AFM Board. You will then be notified of the Board’s decision.
