Gunther and Betty Fischer, owners of Long View Farm, produce chemical free vegetables, fruit, and flowers on two acres of garden space, part of a larger diversified farm in their family since 
1944. Produce, from asparagus to zinnias, includes four varieties of potatoes, six varieties of onions, two varieties of garlic, shallots, several varieties of tomatoes, cucumbers, hot and sweet peppers and many greens and squashes, and chestnuts in autumn. Each year Gunther tries new types of vegetables including Italian, Asian, and French varieties. Betty preserves jellies and jams from fruit grown on their farm. Founding members of the Atchison Farmers’ Market, Gunther and Betty have been a part of the Atchison market since it began in 1998.
Long View Farm will be at the Atchison Farmer’s Market on all Saturdays from 8 a.m. until noon. It will be at most Wednesday markets from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.
